The Night of Theatre n°6was held in West Bengal, India, on 9th February 2013, at the upcoming Cultural Centre that Trimukhi Platform has been building in the Santhal village of Borotalpada. It involved theatre, dance, music, installation, photo exhibition and video projection. Artists from India, Europe and Latin America rehearsed together with painters, photographers, dancers, musicians and actors from the tribal area to prepare the 12 works that had been shared in situ during the night-long festival. French theatre director Jean-Frédéric Chevallier, in collaboration with Falguni and Kajol Hansda (India) and electronic sound musicians from Ecuador Abraham Calvachi and from France Benoît Mory staged a dance-theatre-video performance titled The thing that exists when we aren’t there, involving actresses from Santhal and Bengali villages, a dancer and an actor from Mexico city. Azarak, the duo formed by the traditional Bengali singer Sukanta Bose and the French musician Alexandre Jurain played compositions involving voice, Esraj and Didgeeridoo. Mexican choreographer Lorena Rojas and Santhal musician TibruTibru Murmu proposed programmes inter-crossing Santhal, fusion and contemporary dances. French scenarist-photographer Julien Nenault presented a performance-lecture called A praise of Santhal walls while Mexican visual artist Alejandro Orozco built an experimental installation in bamboo that was transited by the audience and proposed a photography exhibition that he prepared with 7 villagers. A video documentary about the process of construction of Trimukhi Cultural Centre was projected with commentaries by French anthropologist Marc Hatzfeld. Its tittle was: What To Build Means?
