The Night of Theatre n°7 took place on 15th February 2014 at Trimukhi Cultural Centre. Artists from Paris, Bogotá, Kolkata, Mexico city and Borotalpada village presented outside the Centre theatre, dance and music performances as well as an experimental film. Two of the performances were the result of a 12 day rehearsals process together with 15 villagers. A little more than 350 people were sitting on the floor outside Trimukhi Cultural Centre to see the night program. 61 of them came by bus from Kolkata (India: 52, France: 7, Poland: 1, USA: 1) and around 300 were from Borotalpada village and the surrounding tribal area. Journalist Mohua Das reported the event for The Telegraph: “There was something magical about making one’s way through the backwoods with torchlights and settling down on the ground under the open skies, feeling the caress of a wintry breeze and watching performances in the dark — imaginative and untamed.” Singer-songwriter Neel Adhikari, who came to present the film for which he had done the music, described his experience: “After the long journey our sense of disorientation was pushed to the limit with the experimental theatre but it was great. The way they used the existing nightscape of the village with a couple of lights and props as the stage was amazingly innovative. And there was a constant effort to tickle the senses….”

In his brief essay With Dance Today In India?, Jean-Frédéric Chevallier observed: “Santal dance is fascinating. It produces a sort of quiet excitation. There is a terrible force in it but exercised in a sweet manner. And it would be difficult to explain where it comes from. Is it the rhythm? Is it the group togetherness? Is it the repetition of the same steps with slight and progressive accelerations and modifications that makes the same other? It could seem that nothing changes but at the same time eyes never get tired of watching the uninterrupted displacement of the women dancers.
